Will our program confuse my child in school? The concepts we cover are fundamental and studied in-depth, allowing children to explore them from various angles without confusion, but rather with enhanced understanding. As our curriculum generally precedes that of public schools, students often encounter concepts at IMRSB first, mastering them before adapting to any school format.
-
How AMCs/Olympiads/Math Kangaroo will help in college?College applications often inquire about extracurricular activities, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their math competition experiences. These experiences can be highlighted in the essay portion of the application, where students may be asked to share stories central to their identity, describe environments where they feel content, or discuss significant accomplishments or events marking their transition to adulthood. By leveraging their math victories, students can effectively illustrate their abilities to the Admissions boards through these essay prompts.
-
Is your program suitable for my child? We've tailored multiple levels for every grade to cater to each child's development, considering their knowledge and abilities. We suggest a free evaluation to understand your child's needs and recommend the most suitable class. We also offer custom learning plans.
-
Do you give Homework? If you choose SATs, ACTs, and Math Competition preparation, homework is necessary. For struggling school levels, we assist in understanding school homework. For IMRSB Curriculum, we assign enough to reinforce skills from class. If homework takes too long or too little time, it may signal a mismatch in your child's level.
-
What is your method?Every IMRSB expert undergoes training through our patented method, which involves three components: 1. Discussion Technique 2. Lecture Technique 3. Hint Technique.
-
Is it too late to enroll in your program in high school? While we advocate for early initiation of mathematical training, starting our program in high school is still beneficial. During the evaluation, our expert will discuss your goals with you and your child, and outline how our program can effectively assist you in achieving them.
-
What is the teacher to student ratio? Our classes are 1 to 1. (1 :1 ) The purpose of classes outside of school is to offer personalized attention. Otherwise, school programs are preferable.
-
What is the duration of regular classes?Every class is 45 to 50 minutes long, with a buffer time of 5 minutes.
-
How do we decide time and days for regular classes? We will inquire about the days and timings that work best for you and ensure you get those slots.
-
What is the class frequency per week? The best-suited frequency can be suggested by the IMRSB expert after a successful evaluation of the child, but we recommend a minimum of two sessions per week. Some parents opt for five or even six sessions a week!
-
What if my child misses a regular class?A child should not miss out on math lessons due to any reason, so we offer flexible rescheduling for missed classes. Please read the complete onboarding and services guidelines sent to your email before the invoice.
-
Do I have to pay after every class? No, the fee is charged in package form. To read all about pricing, click here.
-
What is fee per class? The fee per class depends on the number of months the child is enrolled for; the higher the number of months, the lower the cost per class. Typically, parents who are new to us opt for the 3-month plan to assess how it works. Once they are satisfied with the services, they may choose the 9 or 12-month plan.
